Open Judge Mrs Higgins

One of my favourite shows saw Missy - Limatz Miss Sixty, awarded her second consecutive Open 1st and CC she had a super afternoon being 1st in two of her large sides, narrowly missing out with a 2nd out of 9 in her final side class.

My thanks to Louise for showing her in such tip top condition as always.

BIV Judge Mrs Beard-Smith

Missy and Vivi's daughter Lourewz Miss Gucci, attended her second show, she was also denied a red card day by being placed 1st in two large side classes, and 2nd out of 11, but that didn't matter as she went on to be awarded Best In Variety British Kitten! this is really very special as her mother won the same award last year!

Well done to Louise she has more then taken quality to the next level with this very special little girl - I just LOVE her!

Limatz cats have won BIV kitten at the Manchester show for the last 4 years, Eddie, Freddie, Missy and now Trudi who is from our breeding, we feel this is quite an achievement and are very proud.

2010 SUPREME CAT SHOW 20.11.2010

Today was the GCCF Supreme Show 2010 the feline show piece of the year (the cats version of the Kennel Clubs Crufts) held at the NEC in Birmingham over 1100 cats.

This year we had 6 Limatz entries and I am delighted to say all did me proud, perhaps the shining glory of the day was the BIV BSH Neuters we were godsmacked to see Eddie, GR PR Limatz Twigwidge and Willy, GR PR Limatz Willy Wonka selected in the final 3 out of 17 BOB winners by Mrs Walpole, the award ultimately went to the magnificent blue boy who was supreme neuter last year - well deserved too he is magnificent but it was wonderful to see my boys up there in the running.

Open Judge Mrs Bradley

Saphy, attended her 4th show at a pip over 12 months she was awarded her 3rd and final Open 1st and PC, making her PR Limatz Ab-Fab she is our 9th home bred titled cat!!!

My sincere thanks and congratulations to her lovely mummy and daddy Diane and Ian for showing her so well, she'll now take some time out to mature before making her debut in the Grand class hopefully towards the end of next year.

Open Judge Mrs Bradley

Loki, Limatz MeddlingLoki looked very impressive today he was awarded his second consecutive Open 1st and PC ahead of his equally lovely but very different brother Limatz WonderingOdin he won his Open 2nd place. Well done and congratulations to their mum and dad Chris and Heidi.

UK Grand and BOB Judge Mrs Bradley

Lovely IMP GR PR Limatz Truly Scrumptious, sadly didn't gain that elusive second UK Grand, being placed a very respectable 2nd, but as she is only a relative baby there is still plenty of time and I have every confidence she will get there, she did however win the Tabby Cat Club Tabby of the year trophy which was very special indeed as there were lots of tabbies at the show. Her brother Willy, GR PR Limatz Willy Wonka had a FABULOUS day he won his first UK Gr Pr Award at his first attempt and he took the BOB out of 7 beautiful and many multi titled cats!!! Out thanks as always to Louise and Graham our great friends for showing them so well.

Our only spotty representative GR PR Limatz Twigwide, faced stiff competition in a UK Grand class of 6 strong! The class took 2 hours to be judged! and ultimately Eddie was placed 2nd against a fine mature Brown Spotted. Eddie went on to take BOB against excellent competition. Thank you to Sam and Charlie for championing Eddie so well, my warmest congratulations.

Open Judge Mrs Anderson

Countrystyle Silver Q-T faced a superb strong class of 5 black silver tabby female, after much debate she was placed Open 2nd, any of the kittens should have won on the day they were all lovely and I was very pleased with Tia's award.

Open Judge Mrs Wren

Bumpkin DollyDayDream aka Dolly had a super day, being placed 1st in her open and winning my first supreme Best of Breed for a cat I have shown, I also entered her in a special kitten class for fun and she won 2nd out of a huge entry 122 split into 4 sections with 4 judges, Mrs Walkden awarded her and we won £30 and were over the moon!

Bumpkin DollyDayDream faced stiff competition at todays show also, but I am very pleased to say Dolly also won her Open 1st and BOB she also did brilliantly in her side classes being 1st in two large classes.

02.10.2010 - Tabby Cat Club Show - Pictures all with thanks to Tammy Kingwell (Purrade BSH)
Imperial Grand Premier Judge Mrs V Anderson

Today is a VERY special day for Limatz Cats, I am delighted to say Truly literally made history becoming (to my knowledge) the first and currently only Imperial Grand Premier Neutered Black Silver Tabby Female !!!! She looked as always in superb condition, always gleaming, I am thrilled for Louise and Graham, her wonderful owners, who have also become our best friends. Thank you so much for showing your beautiful girl to the highest level, she has done so well and deserves the success she has had for you.

Not content with such a prestigious award she also finished the day on an extra special high with a RED CARD DAY!!!

Sadly Truly's Brother, GR PR Limatz Willy Wonka wasn't placed in the Imperial Males, in a strong class of 3 the top honours went to an already Imperial titled cat. As always he fared very well in his side classes being 1st in one and 2nd in his others

Once again my thanks and congratulations to Louise and Graham.

Grand Premier Judge Mrs Gregory
Open Judge Mrs Walkden

Sarah and Lee were also showing their 3 lovely Limatz cats, first Gentle giant, Simba, PR Limatz Black Magic was entered in his first Grand class today, he was very respectably awarded the Reserve Grand loosing out to an already Imp Gr Pr.

Simba also came 2nd and 3rd in his side classes.

Lilly was awarded her third and final Grand PC, making her Grand Premier Limatz Tyger Lilly she also took the BOB out of 4!

Lilly was placed x2 1sts and a 3rd in her side classes.

Open Judge Mrs Walkden

It was Alfie, Lee and Sarah's only spotty who really stole the show, against excellent GR PR already titled competition, he was awarded his 3rd Open 1st and PC, Making him Champion & Premier Limatz Mini Twigs, my first dual titled home bred cat!

Alfie also won BOB, and to may amazement and delight was made Best In Variety British Neuter! but not to be content he then went on to Overall Best In Show British!!! this is the first time a cat I have owned or bred has gained this award and so it was very emotional and exciting!

He missed out on BIS to a BEAUTIFUL Maincoon, whom myself and my friend Tammy had picked out as something special at the beginning of the day, as this was Tabitha's first show it is a special show for me, so I gave out specials to my favourite adult, neuter, kitten and HP in her memory. The BIS was my pick for the kitten special as she was just that!

Open Judge Mrs Walkden

5 years ago this was Tabitha's first show as a kitten, very unintentional it has fallen that this was also to be Countrystyle Silver Q-T, aka Tia's debut show. Tia was pretty as a poppet entertaining and enchanting, just how I would wish a first show to be, she took everything in her stride and wasn't abit phased.

I am delighted to say she had a brilliant day winning her first Open 1sts and Best Of Breed

Tia almost had a red card day if it were not for that pesky Truly teehee!!! She was placed 1st x2 and 2nd in her side classes. My thanks again to Joanne for this special girl, our link to our foundations and a bright new future!

Last but certainly not least! It was also the showing debut of Dolly, she was so confident, purring and having lots of cuddles I was so thrilled with her also. Dolly was awarded her Open 1st, she came 1st and x2 2nds in her side classes, and she was awarded a special trophy by the president of the Tabby CC!

Shell shocked from the wonderful day I had gone outside for some air, when my friends came to get me saying do you know what Dolly has won.....!!! When I went back inside I could see she had been awarded Best In Variety British Kitten! WOW what a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My thanks to Jean for such a wonderful start into our new venture.

Imperial Judge Change

Its wasn't Eddie's day today, there was a last min judge change and despite gleaming he was sadly unplaced in a class of 4 for the Imperial, he also lost out BOB to a beautiful female, he did however come 1sts in two large side classes and 2nd in another, I believe he is a very special boy and will hopefully fare better in these top honours on his next trip out.

As you can see he was unphased!

Open Judge Mrs Walkden

Eddie's best friend Stripes, another gentle giant and who took my breath away leaving me quiet emotional when I saw him as he is just his mothers double was today awarded his 4th and final Open 1st and PC making him Premier Limatz Potawatomi my 8th Home bred titled cat!

He also won 1st and x2 2nds in his side classes. My sincere thanks to Sam and Charlie for showing these wonderful boys to perfection.

I couldn't have wished for a better start for her wonderful mum my great friend Louise, who I am sure will be a prominent feature in silver British with her own babies in 2011. My congratulations and thanks to her for showing Roxie in such perfect condition.

NEW ARRIVAL AT LIMATZ! Part 2!

This is our new baby Bumpkin Dolly Daydream, she is a blue spotted! You can read all about her on her own page.

An exciting change for us as we always had in mind to own something a little different one day but we didn't think it would be quite so soon but we fell head over heels for a friends cat, she was owned and bred Jean Wolfe of the wonderful Bumpkin Cats she is Ch Bumpkin Upsydaisy and so we're honoured to say jean has allowed us Dolly from a repeat mating

We're over the moon with her!

She isn't for introduction to my silver breeding she'll hopefully have some lovely blues and blue spotties for us one day.

NEW ARRIVAL AT LIMATZ! Part 1!

When we lost our darling Tabitha earlier this year, the heart ache was unbearable and all we could think of was that we would never see her face again, she threw such a strong "look" on her kittens we couldn't swallow the fact we had never kept one, we always felt we had time...

Tabs closest "active" relative is Imperial Grand Champion Sargenta Silver Vincento, he is Tabitha's full brother but from the litter a year previous, and so we asked shortly after our loss if our friend Joanne Hewittson of Countrystyle, would help us with baby from him, I’m honoured she said yes and have been VERY lucky to be given the pick of a superb litter of 4 girls!

Mum is the BEAUTIFUL Champion Countrystyle Silver Emily So we feel like we have alittle bit of our tabs back and a new beautiful kitten to begin our foundations again after a disastrous year.

She was a Q themed litter so we called her Countrystyle Silver Q-T as in Cutie but also Q as in her own Identity and T as in homage to Tabitha! Her pet name is Tia which is again in honour of Tabs as it is the First, Middle and Last letter of her name T-a-b-I-t-h-A

She has a beautiful nature a real naughty steak just how we like em!

Truly's first show of 2010 got off to a fantastic start! Against 2 superb females, Gr Pr Limatz Truly Scrumptious was awarded her 4th Imperial Grand Premier Certificate she was also awarded the Best Of Breed

I think Louise could hear my screams from home when she rang me in the afternoon to tell me that Truly had then gone on to be awarded Best In Variety British Neuter!

Truly was awarded a 1st and a 2nd in her side classes.

My sincere thanks to her owners Louise and Graham and their children Charlie and Grace for keeping and showing Truly in the immaculate condition she is always presented in and my thanks to Charlie for finding that lucky penny!!!

Open Judge Mrs Beard-Smith

Roxie, Limatz KandyCane attended her last show as a kitten, she finished on a high continuing her excellent results, she won her Open 1st and BOB

She also did exceptionally well with 1st in all her side classes having a RED CARD DAY!!!

Missy, Limatz MissSixty also won her 4th and consecutive Open 1st and BOB, she did brilliantly in her side classes too, being placed 1st twice and 2nd (only to Roxie) in her side classes

My heart almost stopped when her mum Louise called me to tell me that wonderfully but unbelievably she was then chosen as Best In Variety British Kitten!

I am sure that as a breeder I will never achieve such an amazing accolade that two of my own bred win BIV in 2 sections in a large show on the same day, to say I am delighted is an understatement.

I really am so very grateful to both Louise's for showing their specials girls so well.

We almost didn't make it to our first show of 2010, but I'm very glad we did as it was lovely to see some of our friends again, and because it got off to a very good start, Trinnie was awarded her 2nd consecutive Open 1st and CC

She also did very well in her side classes being 2nd out of 5 and 3rd out of 6.

Open Judge Mrs Marriot-Power

Making their Showing debut were 2 of our babies from last year, the first was Limatz Kandy Cane, one of the last kittens from Ronaldo Silver Kane and my own Candy, Sargenta Silver Xonia, before they were neutered. She did very well being a few days over 5 months old, she was placed 1st in her Open, know as Roxie she was very relaxed and took all in her stride

Roxie did extremely well in her side classes, being placed 2nd in all her large side classes. She is a beautiful Black Silver Tabby girl, with a lovely pattern, colour and contrast.

Open Judge Mrs Walkden

The second baby to debut was Limatz Miss Sixty, aka Missy, who is a gorgeous Black Silver Spotted, also at a little over 5 months she had tough competition with a lovely older female kitten, so we were absolutely delighted when she was awarded her first Open 1st and BOB

Missy has the most beautiful colour and contrast with fabulous spotty toes! She also had a great afternoon coming 1st and 2nd in her side classes

Our thanks to Louise for showing these too lovely baby girls in such good condition.

Thank you

Our sincere thanks to all those who comforted us on the loss of our wonderful Tabitha, Matthew and I were quite touched she was remembered by others so fondly also.

11.01.2010 - Very Sad News

Today we said goodbye to our beautiful big girl, Tabitha, Imperial Grand Champion and TICA Grand Champion

In September she was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma a rare and very aggressive type of cancer, she had the tumour from near her bowl removed, it had not spread but sadly we were told her future wasn’t clear, although our vet was hopeful we would have at least several more years we were advised to make everyday count, but we didn’t think that things would progress quite so quickly and its been a huge shock, we are totally shattered.

It isn’t a genetic condition its extremely rare its more common in dogs and on the skin then it is internal and usually in animals ages 8-12years old, if it is internal its usually in the spleen or heart – Tabitha didn’t fit any of these cases so we did hope that she might pull through but sadly it wasn’t to be.

Willow is lost without her, as are we, alittle bit of us has died with her. She was everything to us, the most amazing personality it just seems like we’ve been robbed she was only 4years old but the short time we had with her was jam packed full of joy, and that joy lives on in the lives of families who have Tabitha's babies, in them and our memory, she lives on.

Another of my favourite shows and one of only a couple to be held on a Sunday, the show manager is so lovely and the atmosphere and venue are superb. Last year at this show Tabs won the Imperial, BOB and BIV Adult and Willow was made upto Grand so we never expected a day like that to be replicated.

We showed Willow today, for the first time in a long time, we had given her a break to have babies but sadly that was not to be although she has enjoyed playing auntie to Tabitha's in the meantime! Relaxed as always and ever the show girl, she thoroughly enjoyed her day out, getting many belly tickles as she dozed and posed all day.

What a day Willow had! She won her second consecutive Imperial Grand Certificate at only her second attempt, she then took the BOB over competition of 3 other lovely girls and amazed us by winning 1st in two huge side classes of 8 and 10.

Then at the end of the day to our surprise and delight she went on to win Best In Variety British Adult! Wow! There were some gorgeous cats present so it quite a shock!

My thanks to Hazel my friend for this picture and congratulations to her, as she made her lovely boy Sargenta Silver Zeno up to Champion at the show, this was quite an achievement as he was his breeder Ursula Graves, (the breeder of my 3 foundation queens Willow, Tabitha & Candy) 100th Sargenta titled cat - wow!!!!!!! Quite an achievement in any breed let alone a specialist breed colour, one I am sure will remain unrivalled for some time.

This was Freddie & Twiggy's last kitten show, my own baby Limatz NextTopModel won her Open 1st and had a good afternoon being 2nd and 3rd in her side classes. He had a 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd in side classes and for the second time running he was chosen as  Best In Variety British Kitten!

My thanks again to Susan for showing him in such good condition.

My thanks to Fran Harrison for this picture of Eddie playing with his catnip cigar - his treat for doing so well!

20.02.2009 - Our First Babies of 2009

Our first babies of the year were born today, Tabitha had 5 gorgeous babies, two spotty boys, a spotty girl, a black smoke boy and a tabby girl. Daddy of the brood is the wonderful GR CH Shadowsmine Silva-Tarka, we were honoured to have the full and personal blessing of his breeder Brenda Westwood shortly before she sadly passed away, she will sorely be missed but her memory will live on for generations, she bred some truly beautiful cats, of course including Samson (Tarka) who is owned by Vicky and Vince who my very good friends, they were so lovely having Tabitha right over the xmas holiday period, we are very grateful to them both.

Here is Samson at the Shropshire cat club pic with thanks to cat planet & Vimar as you can see he is a HUGE gorgeous big Black Silver Spotted.

2008 SUPREME CAT SHOW 22.11.2008
UK Grand Champion Judge Mrs Higgins

Today was the GCCF Supreme Show 2008 the feline show piece of the year (the cats version of the Kennel Clubs Crufts) held at the NEC in Birmingham over 1100 cats. Tabitha was entered in the prestigious UK Grand an award which can only be gained at the supreme and you must win 2 to hold the title. Sadly Tabitha had began a coat change 2 weeks ago changing from summer to winter and last Friday she started calling (sods law!) so she looked flat, she has lost her sparkle that she needed against the competition present, so although I'm a little disappointed she's had a great year and the winner was very well deserved, a beautiful tortie spotted who tabs has previous beaten and been beaten by! Tabitha was 3rd out of 4 in a very strong line up, and fabulous to see at the supreme.

In the male UK Grand class the winner of the also 4 strong was the fabulous Imperial Grand Champion Shimmerclaw Moontyger, aka Twigs, Black Silver Spotted. He is of course the daddy to 3 of our past litters, congratulations to him and his breeder/owner Susan Knight, to me personally he is purrrrfect!!!! This was his second consecutive win and he is only 2 and a half years old, this makes him the first and currently only UK Imperial Grand Champion Silver BSH.

In the neuters Imperial Grand Premier & Champion Sargenta Silver Urshina was awarded her second consecutive UK Grand (she was BIV neuter last year) making her the first and currently only BSH silver to hold the title UK Imperial Grand Premier! Well done of course to Ursula Graves (Sargenta) her breeder and Wayne Vessley (Darraway) her owner.

Although it wasn't Tabs day today it was a great day for Limatz cats! All pics unless noted with thanks to the puddies owners.

Open Judge Mrs Higgins

Alfie, Black Silver Spotted had a fantastic day winning his third consecutive Open 1st and CC and all before his 1st birthday (Monday) making him Champion Limatz MiniTwigs !!!!! Our first Champion, of course he lost out on BOB to his wonderful Daddy but we hope he will follow continue to follow in his pawprints! Thank you and well done to his mum and dad Lee & Sarah he looked totally gorgeous and was in superb condition and he was totally relaxed all day. Alfie's growing into a fine big boy, he has a beautiful clear coat and dense super black spotting with lovely type and gorgeous loving nature.

We hope Alfie may compete for the Grand in the new year before being neutered to start again for the Premier titles.

Open Judge Mrs Matthias

Limatz Twigwidge (Alfie's brothers) aka Eddie , Black Silver Spotted debuted at his first adult show, he did brilliantly, not only winning his Open 1st PC but also and to my amazement and delight he took the -  BOB over the wonderful Urshina and another titled spotty, the judge commented "this is what a silver spotty should look like" - wow!!!!!!! Eddie was super relaxed rolling on his back for a tummy tickle and playing to the crowds all day. Eddie has SUPERB black silver contrast, really wow factor, he has fabulous spotting and excellent type and bone.

Well done and congratulations to his family Sam, Martin, Charlie & Oli.

Above lovely Eddie relaxes in his pen, and below judged by Mrs Matthias and her head steward.

Twigwidge's best friend Stripes (Limatz Potawatomi) had missed Eddie so much he hasn't let him out of his paws since coming home!!!

Limatz Black Magic aka Simba also did us very proud by winning his second open 1st & PC, what a big lad he is! A gentle giant, he is a total softy who also loves a belly rub too. He had a lovely judges critique so I hope next year he will get his third PC and make Premier!

Pic above and below on the left with thanks to photographer Paul Marshall of Cat Planet

Premier Limatz Tiger Lilly won her fourth consecutive Open 1st and PC, Lilly, Black Silver Tabby has excellent colour and contrast, beautiful green eyes and really looked the part. Lilly gained her Premier title after the closing date for the supreme so unfortunately didn't go in the grand, but I hope in 2009 she will compete for the Grand.

Well done and thank you to their family Lee & Sarah for showing them in such lovely condition.

Limatz Willy Wonka was snug as a bug in a rug sprawled across his pen the most of the day, sitting pretty and saying look at me look at me to his adoring crowd! he really looked the showman. Willy, Black Silver Tabby was awarded his second Grand Premier certificate - one more to go!!!!! What a handsome special boy and very well deserved.

Willy's fabulous pen drapes hand made by Louise's very talented mum - I've put my order in for next year!

Pic kindly taken by Mary Eliza Jade

Limatz Truly Scrumptious
as always looked the picture of perfection, "the one that got away" I just adore her. Truly, Black Silver Tabby also won her second Grand Premier and finally as I knew she would one day, and in style at the supreme took Best of Breed over not only her brother but also my others and other premiers and an Imperial Premier - wow!

Truly had gorgeous green drapes which complimented her beautiful eyes perfectly. Pic on the right kindly taken by Mary Eliza Jade

Huge congratulations to her owners and our truly great friends Louise and Graham, my thanks for their excellent presentation as always.

A day to remember as they won't come around too often, thanks go to all my kitten owners for showing the cats and presenting them in such tip top condition they really deserved their awards.

Tabitha has done it!!!! She has been awarded her 5th Imperial Grand Certificate - making her Imperial Grand Champion Sargenta Silver Witch - what a fabulous achievement I am totally delighted and couldn't be any more proud. Tabitha also took her 16th BOB against male and female competition and she won 1st in one of her side classes.

Tabitha will now be retired from regular all breed GCCF shows, so in that respect it is a little bitter sweet, but it is very very sweet! Hopefully we'll have some Limatz babies follow in her footpaws one day.

Sincere thanks to Helen Jones on behalf of Friendly Felines for this lovely pic from a very special day.

Just when we thought the day couldn't get any better we also learnt that Candy won her 2nd open adult 1st and CC! One more to go! Candy has matured into a lovely big girl and we are equally as proud of her.

What a huge show! Over 600 cats, we had a great day even though we were hoping and praying for Tabitha's last Imperial Grand, it sadly wasn't to be, but she did brilliantly anyway, she was awarded the Reserve Imperial Grand Certificate out of a very strong class of 3, the winner was the stunning tortie silver spotty whom tabs had pipped to the post just two weeks ago, she is gorgeous and very well deserved!

Tabs also won the BOB against 4 others and two 1sts and a 2nd in very large side classes.

This was only Willy and Truly's second time in the grand class and the class numbers were HUGE!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately they were not placed, but as they are only babies at 15months they have plenty of time to work towards a Grand Premier title.

Well done to them and their owners Louise, Graham, Charlie & Grace as usual they shone they were in such good condition. Well done also to Louise she won £50 in the show prize draw!!!

TICA Oneforall Cat Club 30.08.08
4 Ring Show 2 SP 2 AB Rings - Judges Thomas Andersen & Pascal Remy

Today was Tabitha's first TICA show and she surpassed any expectation we had by winning x4 Best In Colour awards, x4 Best In Division awards and also x3 1st Best Of Breeds against top British competition and x1 2nd Best of Breed, she then went on in the Shorthaired Speciality Ring (all shorthair breeds - Sphynx, Bengal, Siamese, Burmese etc etc) to be placed 2nd out of 11 cats making her Champion on the day!!!

But the real thrill was the afternoon All Breed Ring where she was 2nd out of 25 cats (all breeds, LH, SL, SH)!!!!!!!!! The judge commented that he has never seen a silver as good as her and it must have taken at least 20 years of breeding to achieve such a big beautiful girl and that she was a credit to her breeder and he made the audience give her a round of applause for being such a good example of the colour and THE BREED - WOW!

We are very proud of Tabitha, to our knowledge she is the only GCCF and TICA dual Champion Black Silver Tabby Female.

19.08.08 - Babies from Heaven!

Our baby girl Angel has given birth to 4 stunning kittens, a Tabby girl, 2 Spotted girls and a Spotted male, we are absolutely delighted, Angel had no problems at all and is proving an amazing new mum, very tentative and adores her babies. All the babies have very special homes when they are ready to leave the nest.

Dad is the wonderful Imperial Grand Champion Shimmerclaw Moontyger who we had some truly beautiful kittens to last year, we just couldn't resist trying for that elusive spotty girl one more time, and so we made the long journey to this lovely boy again, our thanks to Susan for looking after our Angel enabling us to have such gorgeous babies again.

Against excellent competition of 4, today Willow was awarded her 3rd and final Grand CC making her Grand Champion Sargenta Silver Willow! This is VERY special for me as Willow was my first very special silver tabby and I believe she really deserved this prestigious title as she is a lovely big queen with beautiful black silver contrast, a lovely pattern. She is always so at ease at showing, she travels so well, she is just a real pleasure to own and show.

Willow did extremely well in her side classes being placed 1st out of 9 and 1st out of 6.

Our friends Lesley and Gary took Reserve Grand with their beautiful Manx, Danzante Sitting Pretty, aka Ingrid, well done to them, they also took the Grand at Manchester two week previously, this is great for them as noone could deserve it more, but also for the promotion of this wonderful rare breed.

Tabitha's second show and a brilliant day for us, a local show she took 1st and BOB over VERY good competition of 3, we had resigned to being second so were delighted to find the BOB rosette on our pen!

Tabitha took 2nd out of 3 (including a Gr Ch) 4th out of 12 and 5th out of 11 in her side classes.

As usual she was a delight and enjoyed playing and purring all day.

Thanks to Suzanne and Julie for remembering their cameras and taking me some treasured pictures - as again I forgot mine!!!

2005 SUPREME CAT SHOW 19.11.2005
Open Judge Mrs Linda Walpole

Our first supreme and what a day! We were thrilled and delighted as Willow was awarded 1st place against competition we received a very pleasing critique, Willow was again a little star, remaining relax and confident in the pen.

The male silver tabby kitten took BOB and was in contention with 2 others for BOV (although the beautiful Kolinga British blue kitten took the prestigious award) he was a very worthy winner with lovely type and bone.

We had our pen decorated in white satin with embroidered silver flowers, this really complimented Willow and she looked super on the day. Needless to say we are VERY proud of both our girls but the supreme will always be an extra special day for us to look back on.

Tabby Cat Club 05.11.2005
Open Judge Mrs Liz Machin

Tabitha's first show was at the Tabby club cat show, for which I am a member, it was a lovely show specializing in Tabby and Spotted cats, there was a wonderful array of beautiful colours there some of which I had never seen before.

Tabitha took 1st place in her open at just 4 months, and was beaten to BOB by a very handsome male kitten who was just shy of 9 months, he was a lovely rounded boy with great eye colour. Tabitha was awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd in her side classes.

Although Tabitha didn't travel quite as well as Willow (she is more vocal) she was very good once at the hall and purred and played all day.

Another thank you must got to Celia Leighton of Porteous, for allowing me to second steward for her for the day, as a highly respected judge and longstanding leading silver breeder it was enlightening to watch and lean from her whilst judging.

Open Judge Mrs Sheila Hamilton (Probationary)

Willow's second show saw her placed 3rd in her open out of 3, She was beaten by 2 beautiful cats, one of which, 2nd place was her half sister and the 1st place and BOB was awarded to a kitten of wonderful type who had been placed 2nd to Wils at the previous show. We were delighted when Willow took 1st in one of her side classes against 7 others with a very experienced judge! She also received a 4th placing in another huge class of 8.

I have to thank Sue Lorton Hobbs of Loraston for allowing me to second steward for the morning, I had a wonderful time and learnt a great deal about the aspects of BSH judging, it was good fun and it was lovely to get such a close look at some beautiful British cats. This was my first time as a steward and Sue was wonderfully patient with me, I would encourage anyone to get involved and help at shows - but make sure you wear comfy shoes!

A Fantastic day for our and Willow's first show; she took 1st and BOB in the open against competition. She also did very well in 2 large side classes, 2nd out of 7 and 3rd out of 8.

She was so relaxed all day and handled like a dream, we were so proud especially as we had been so nervous ourselves. The day went very smoothly despite almost showing her as an Abyssinian! When we arrived we checked with the lady handling the paperwork where we should be/what we should do next and she told us that her class number was her pen number it wasn't until we saw our friend Steph down 3 rows we thought - OT OH! It gave us a good laugh and Steph and her family were brilliant with us looking after us throughout the day.
