Very sadly on Monday 11th January we lost Tabitha, in September she was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma a rare and very aggressive type of cancer, she had the tumour from near her bowl removed, it had not spread but sadly we were told her future wasn’t clear, although our vet was hopeful we would have at least several more years we were advised to make everyday count, but we didn’t think that things would progress quite so quickly and its been a huge shock, we are totally shattered.

It isn’t a genetic condition its extremely rare its more common in dogs and on the skin then it is internal and usually in animals ages 8-12years old, if it is internal its usually in the spleen or heart – Tabitha didn’t fit any of these cases so we did hope that she might pull through but sadly it wasn’t to be.

Willow is lost without her, as are we, alittle bit of us has died with her.

She was everything to us, the most amazing personality it just seems like we’ve been robbed she was only 4years old but the short time we had with her was jam packed full of joy, and that joy lives on in the lives of families who have Tabitha's babies, in them and our memory, she lives on.

Tabitha was my second queen, I was lucky enough to have the pick of her litter.

I had always been a fan of her mother Mona so it was a tough decision as they were all so beautiful but Tabitha picked us! There was just one male in the litter, & along with Tabitha, they were the only ones who kept coming to the front of their run, he sat and watched us whilst she clambered up and meowed for a fuss - I have no doubts we took the right one home for us!

Tabitha has fantastic type and really good eye colour, they are emerald green. She has an amazing symmetrical complete oyster pattern and excellent contrast with a good coat.

Tabitha is one of only 5 Imperial Grand Champion Black Silver Tabbies in the UK (Willow is another, as is her full brother from an earlier litter) - quite an achievement she is also to my knowledge the only dual TICA and GCCF champion Black Silver Tabby female.
